Brand: Callie · Operated by Matt Carroll (sole proprietor) · Last updated: August 15, 2026

Callie is an automated household calendar assistant application operated by Matt Carroll. A server ingests the household's Google Calendar and local weather, runs an LLM curation pass, and sends automated SMS notifications to a small fixed list of enrolled contacts. This policy explains what information the application handles and how it is handled.

Information we handle

How we use it

This information is used for one purpose only: to run the application and deliver its automated notifications to the enrolled numbers. We do not use it for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any automated decision-making about a person. Messages are transmitted using Twilio, our telecommunications subprocessor, solely to carry them to their intended recipient. Google Calendar is the source of the schedule data the application reads. An LLM provider is used to curate the display content and to compose the text of automated replies to schedule questions; it receives only the schedule text needed for that step.

Sharing of information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share, sell, or provide phone numbers or SMS opt-in and consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as our messaging provider, is permitted solely to carry out the delivery of messages. The above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never sold or shared with lead generators.

Text messaging & consent

Recipients are enrolled contacts who are known to the account owner and who have given explicit verbal consent before their number was added. Message frequency varies: the application sends a handful of notifications per recipient per week on its own, and separately it replies to any message a recipient sends it. Proactive notifications are not sent during quiet hours from 9pm to 7am local time; they are deferred until the quiet period ends. Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message, and can reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Full details of how recipients opt in are described on our opt-in page.

Data retention

Message content and delivery metadata are retained only as long as needed to deliver the notification and to enforce the quiet-hours limit, and are then pruned. Calendar and weather data are cached only for as long as needed to render the current display frame and the upcoming reminders. Enrollment records — name, mobile number, and the written record of consent — persist for as long as the account owner keeps that recipient enrolled, and are removed on request or on opt-out.

Your choices

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any message from the application. To be removed from the enrolled list entirely, to obtain a copy of your consent record, or to ask any privacy question, contact us at the address below.
